Courses of Study

Departements and Degrees

„Interkulturelle Wissenskommunikation“ („Berufsorientierte Linguistik im interkulturellen Kontext“, BLIK)

The BA-program offers basic linguistic knowledge in conditions, processes and success of human communication. Further courses provide reflected linguistic and cross-cultural competence, active and passive text competence and help to elaborate skills in scientific writing and dealing with different kinds of media-usage for presentation and collaboration. Courses in translation studies, lectures concerning the interface between language and politics, as well as text and image are to be taken in the MA-program followed by classes to reinforce technical and methodological skills in linguistics. Work experience is foreseen and foreign language courses are compulsory in both programs.
